Fun Fact: I have 4 daughters, my oldest two attended Shaw Ave. and have now graduated Central H.S & my youngest are in 4th and 6th grade.  Volunteering at Shaw has been rewarding not only for me, but for my daughters. Being a PTA member is vital for the success of our children and school. I also love going to the beach to catch up on sleep!

Fun Fact:​ Something folks don't know about me is that I am obsessed with cute videos of miniature schnauzers.  I have two of my own. (I was going to put that I worked in a video store & I saw all Blockbuster movies from 1992 to 1994, many more than once for                                                      free .. lol)
My "Why I joined the PTA":  I started out as a Class Parent Volunteer and throughout the years got more involved in the behind the scenes.  My husband was the first Male Parent on the Board at Shaw.  It wasn't until then, that I realized the importance a PTA can truly have in a community.  My children have both graduated Shaw Avenue, however they had tremendous experiences at Shaw thanks to teachers, admins, and the PTA.  I feel a personal attachment to all children in our community.  In the elementary years we need to make sure they have the proper tools and preparation to get them ready for secondary school.
