From the Desk of Our PTA President
Welcome to the Shaw Avenue PTA!
Our PTA brings families, teachers, staff, and our school community together to support our students and help make their school experience even more meaningful. Through programs, events, fundraising, advocacy, and volunteer opportunities, we work together to create memorable experiences and provide additional resources for our children.
When you join the Shaw Avenue PTA, you also become part of the New York State PTA and National PTA, connecting you to a larger community dedicated to supporting children, families, and education.
Why Join the PTA?
The number one reason is simple: our kids. Your membership helps support the programs, activities, and experiences that make Shaw Avenue such a special place.
Get Connected
Stay informed about what is happening at Shaw Avenue and become more connected to our school community.
Have a Voice
PTA provides families with an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, offer suggestions, and help shape the activities and programs we bring to our students.
Make an Impact
Your membership and involvement help support school programs, family events, student activities, enrichment opportunities, and other initiatives that benefit our children.
Build Community
Meet other Shaw Avenue families, connect with teachers and staff, and be part of a welcoming community working together for our students.
And remember, joining the PTA does not mean you are required to volunteer.
Every membership matters, and you can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows.
Get Involved. Meet People. Have Fun. Make a Difference.
Together, we are Shaw Strong!
